Thank you for visiting!

My name is Deidre Sequeira, and I am the author of the Isla Emerged Trilogy. I'm also an educator, a music lover, and the writer of a blog called Hooray, It's YA!

I have been writing since I was a little girl, but in middle school, a creative writing class changed everything for me. It was in that 8th grade classroom that I realized I could do something special: I could actually contribute to the world of books that I was already so in love with. It would be many years before I finished a project and got things in line to finally publish, but that revelation was the start of an incredible journey.

I can’t wait to see where it leads next.
